I made that mistake just now!

Facebook is like a weird cult.

By the time I deactivated my account, the posts consisted of something like 70% pointless memes and quotes, 25% brainwashed libtarded meaningless bullshit, and 5% badly stated semi-conservative mush. I would make erudite yet succinct posts without images in hopes of discussing geopolitics and philosophy with people who I normally had decent in-person conversations with, only to be met with comments like "This is the longest status update ever!" or "How can I read all that?".

I figured it would be polite to post that I was deactivating and provide my email address, only to be met with a bunch of people saying "That's so lame to tell people you're leaving! If you're leaving, just leave!" The whole experience was bizarre and absurd, like a fucking cult.

Gee, the "handwriting" on every single poster is by the same person.
