The other melodies are good, so why not come up with something a bit more atmospheric in the beginning - clean arpeggios maybe - and then ease into the main riff with the melodies behind it to make it more interesting. |

Question EVERYTHING Traveler In The Matrix User ID: 28672128 ![]() 12/11/2015 08:55 PM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It was ok. I agree with a song that long it seems repetitive. If it's simply instrumental, I would like to hear greater diversity. Regardless, it was ok. Is that a drum machine or is it the real deal? Was this with a band or are you playing all the tracks? If that is actually you, you should probably scrub your real identity from that page. Thats right, the ones you have but are too scared to record and post for us to hear? Dont be scared to let people hear it. Theyre probably better than you give yourself credit for. Or at least thats the advice i wish someone had given me with all the songs i have written. Now 10 years later and i feel like im too old and too busy at work to ever share my creation with anyone or record it. Dont let that be you because big picture, no ones opinion matters as long as its how you want it to be Last Edited by 1-2-Follow on 12/11/2015 09:02 PM Articles and "news" from liberal media shall now be known as catnip for libtards. I write all the music/ instruments, and I have a few questions for you as I think I have some tips. I like the guitar tones and melodys. The riff does sound repetitive, but I assume it is ment to. What influences this music, what sound or elements are you trying to capture? What program do you use to mix the tracks? Do you midi track your live tone e.g amp and pedals? Or do you use a digital interface and a digital guitar rig to get to your tone? What drum program do you use to program the drums? Thanks man. Definitely don't be down about the lack of intrest. I like it, and I can offer tips on getting it heard!! Last Edited by Dark_Matter on 12/11/2015 09:04 PM |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 71014373 ![]() 12/11/2015 09:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I seldom spam my music on here but I haven't been getting much response in other mediums (guitar/recording forums, facebook, etc). I'd like it if some of you would listen to this as I love making music but it seems so hard to get anyone to listen to the damn thing. Is it really just that bad and I am disillusioned with myself...? It doesn't feel that way but... oh well I'd just really appreciate some feedback before I record more songs. Quoting: Epic Metal 68041961 Thank you. [link to mikebyrne.bandcamp.com] It's good. Your talent is obvious. It would similar to a warrior's anthem if you added bagpipes here and there. The punchy rhythm should sound/vibrate deeper and lower, going for the knees instead of the gut. |

There is creativity. However -- you're working in a style of music that is not popular, a style where just about everything has already been done. I would suggest : forget everything about music, and play something that isn't tied to any style of music. |

A nice bit of syncopation thrown in could also break up the monotony of the main riff. Having said that, I think it's good work. :) I'm glad you posted it up! ![]() |
