The Obvious choice: Thelonious Monk

Gil Evans a great #2 choice, but also like McCoy Tyner, Herbie Hancok, the guy from early Weather Report. Seems like Gil Scott Herron also was a keyboardist. Keyboardist from Cold Blood is pretty tight also. Then there is Count Basie and Dave Brubeck.

Donald Fagen deserves Hon Mention with this group also, and Joe Jackson. Add Nicky Hopkins to round out the bunch...
