How fucked would I be living in Detroit if that shit went off in Chicago? How much time would I have?
We recently moved from KZOO which was right next to Chicago, so I guess thats a plus that we moved.

I obviously wouldn't stay in Detroit. I just meant would it have any direct and immediate affects or would I hve time to GTFO of dodge. I'm not an expert, so someone please correct me if I'm wrong. At normal wind speed, you should have a few hours before fallout reaches you, I would think. Depending on wind direction, I would expect Detroit and Southern Ontario to be hit with the fallout. I would expect highways to be blocked with traffic in a Nuke scenario with people fleeing fallout. If you are in the city, I would count on traffic preventing you from getting far. May first is a Sunday, why not arrange a weekend in the country or a picnic somewhere outside of town on that day.
