How come women don't have hobbies any more | |
dean007 (OP) User ID: 62210718 Canada 12/19/2015 10:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have a question for you, if a women is going to take to doing these hobbies daily, how is she going to get the money to pay for her living expenses? Do you have an answer to that or are you just going to continue to ignore my posts? Serious issue here not only for me, but for many women who would just LOVE to spend every day doing hobbies and crafts. An answer would be nice. so you think of a hobby as a job that someone is making you do daily i have tons of hobbies to many to really list i am not rich by any means if i want a table or night stand i buy the lumber cheap and in my free time i make it it costs me less than to buy it it gives me something to do in my spare time and the product lasts for 40 -50 years and is of a better quality than i could even afford to buy i dont feel forced to do this it is a hobby i work a full time job have my whole life i find it peaceful to create thing from my imagination it doesnt seem like work |

Sometimes a couple of weeks can go by before I can get back to furthering them . Time is definitely a factor , but if you love whatever you are doing enough , you make a way . Some people just are not wired to enjoy hobbies . That's OK , we are all different . |

I love to do hobbies but I don't have the time because I have to work for a living. You said FREE TIME and SPARE TIME. Many women these days DO NOT HAVE SPARE TIME! Most women that are able to take the time to do hobbies have a man behind them supporting them financially, divorce money, family money or inheritance money, or other means above their own efforts to allow them the time to be able to do hobbies. Seriously if you don't understand me this time then I know you're trolling. |

The costly part is the time that it takes to spin and weave it . Fortunately when I find the time , it is a great pleasure to create . |

Not a bad way to spend time together....recently she finished a gemology course and got interested in jewelry making....It works out cuz I already have most of the equipment and skillz for casting, machining, and metal forming...more time we can spend together.... |

I think it's because women have to work and raise kids and their time is taken. I love to paint and create things, any things, and sell them. lol. Until I break even, I guess you could say it's a hobby. Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world. Whatever feels good to your soul, do that. |

Love chalk painting. Would love to make jewelry, but it has always been so difficult for me to work with really small pieces, for some reason. I'll bet y'all make some cool stuff together, in the jewelry area. Thanks for sharing that. Yeah space is always a problem....she was working on small items like blanket chests when we lived in a small 1 room apt....now we have a decent 1,000 sq ft workshop.....but we are still looking for a home to retire in and a large workshop is always on the list when looking for property....crafting is part of our lives.... |

I am in my 60s and still have hobbies...and more time for them. Gemstones and pearls in the winter. Along with reading an average of a book a day. Outdoor stuff in the summer. Shooting, camping. A friend just bought a working gold mine and I am going to test the stones they are pulling out of it. You have to keep active and learning new things all of your life or you lose it. |
