I'm with Doc Brule who mentioned Bruce's legal problems. This was a sympathy play to avoid that vehicular manslaughter charge, and it worked. Only in the land of fruits and nuts does becoming a ladyboy not only generate sympathy, but it seems to make you a protected class.
