Canadian regulator: 4.6 magnitude quake caused by fracking

British Columbia's energy regulator has confirmed that a 4.6 magnitude earthquake in northeast British Columbia in August was caused by fracking and is likely to be the largest fracking-induced seismic event ever recorded.
The earthquake struck on August 17, 2015 about 110 kilometers northwest of Fort St. John in British Columbia. Its epicenter was close to a fracking site operated by Progress Energy Canada Ltd. Workers at the drill site reported their pick-up trucks shook and power poles swayed by the quake prompting the natural gas production company to temporarily halt operations.
British Columbia Oil and Gas Commission, which regulates the fracking industry, had launched an investigation into the cause of the quake. It released a report last week stating that the 4.6-magnitude earthquake was caused by fluid injection during hydraulic fracturing from an operator in the area.

This is one of the things that I am concerned about here in Florida because they are talking about allowing fracking in this state.

Florida already has its problems with violations of the Federal Clean Water Act because the Water Management Districts are getting away with illegally granting Environmental Resource Permits to land developers who want to make negative impacts against sensitive wetlands that recharge the aquifers.

Without enough water underneath the ground to hold up the karst limerock, the earth caves in during sinkhole or subsidence events.

The Water Management Districts illegally commit scientific misconduct of falsification of data put into their computer models. This violates the Federal Clean Water Act and has led to the destruction of over 50% of all of Florida's wetlands. Add fracking to this insanity, and there is apt to be more cave-ins with people's lives and homes at risk.

I hope they don't allow fracking here because our environment will become even more unstable. They don't want to further manipulate the land underneath Florida's surface because the consequences won't be pretty. Just the other day, a 90-foot deep sinkhole opened up at a park in Tampa, and they had to cancel an event that would have had 30,000 people attending.

With the amount of sinkholes happening in Flo. already I don't see how they would but....

They lie to the locals about prosperity and jobs and then proceed to contaminate the subsurface water supply of the whole region; At what point will the people take stand for the future generations and stop whoring themselves and selling their families for the promise of riches. Everyone working in the supply chain is guilty!

How much evidence do we need???

Here we identify the largest earthquake potentially related to injection, an Mw 5.7 earthquake in November 2011 in Oklahoma. The earthquake was felt in at least 17 states and caused damage in the epicentral region. It occurred in a sequence, with 2 earthquakes of Mw 5.0 and a prolific sequence of aftershocks. We use the aftershocks to illuminate the faults that ruptured in the sequence, and show that the tip of the initial rupture plane is within ∼200 m of active injection wells and within ∼1 km of the surface

The magnitude 5.7 earthquake, which struck in 2011 near Prague in central Oklahoma, is the largest and most recent of a number of quakes scientists have tied to wastewater injection from oil and natural gas production,

So, does this mean all the Oklahoma ones have now been confirmed to not be fracking induced? The reason why I ask is there are at least two in the last month and a half that registered as a 4.7 and which generally are believed to be caused by fracking (specifically injection of wastewater):
