What's this I hear about a coup in Turkey?

"President Recep Tayyip Erdogan Tuesday was overthrown as a result of a coup d’état staged by a group of high-ranking military officers, CNN Turk reports. Ankara, Istanbul and other major cities are rocked by mass riots".

Erdogan leaving office would be a great thing for Turkey, no need for the whole country paying for Erdogan's arrogance...except that there seem to be a lot of devout Turks who approve of him.
