...In Daniel 2 - we know the statue only has 10 toes, and no 11th toe to represent the Antichrist. This means he does not exist during any of the empires represented by the statues. He does exist as a little horn in Chapter 7. Is it possible to trace the rise of antichrist using Daniel 70 weeks and Daniel 11? The reason for this is, according to Jesus and Paul he is not revealed until he stands in the temple and he declares he is god. Immediately after this the great tribulation starts. This is 3 1/2 years after the "covenant". So how is that possible? The beast of end times is satan and satan is the god of this world at present. He controls tptb and they happily do his biding. Therefore, it will be satan making the covenant using people like Obama and others. 3 1/2 years after the covenant another person who satan gives a tremendous amount of power to - will break the covenant. Therefore it's really satan all along. Rev 12 the dragon (satan) has 10 horns & 7 heads; Dan 7 the beast has 10 horns The 70 weeks in Daniel 9 gives us a hint what happens after the temple is destroyed. One of these is wars will be decreed. IMHO wars can only be decreed between sovereign nations. Since Roman rule, Israel wasn't a sovereign nation until 1948, nor did she have a standing army. Therefore, this part of the 70 weeks of Daniel could only take place after 1948 when Israel was formally recognized as a nation. And it isn't til after this point we learn something about the antichrist... Daniel 9:26 ... and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week
