To summarize Micah 2 - God sent prophets for 100's of years to Israel to warn them of coming judgement.

For almost 2,000 years, we've had the same warnings.

People for 2000 years have been incorrectly saying Jesus would return; or it's already happened.

Up til now - it couldn't have happened because the technology didn't exist. Until Now!!

You couldn't see something happening on the other side of the world - this passage below makes no sense to anyone living in Jesus time.

Only we today can understand the technology it takes for this to happen (Dan 12-Knowledge will increase):

Rev 13:9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall SEE their dead bodies three and an half days lie in the street. (KJV)

This says other people from other nations will SEE their dead bodies in the street.

The tech didn't exist for people to be in a FIELD or someone on a ROOF and both 'simultaneously' seeing something they should act on i.e. the antichrist STANDING in the temple.

Math 24:15 When ye therefore shall SEE the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

Question is - How are you going to SEE the antichrist stand in the temple from a field or rooftop without a mobile device?

Then chapter five Micah miraculously predicts the birthplace of the Messiah in Bethlehem. Also in verse 2, he teaches that the Messiah is an infinite Savior, from everlasting.

Every so often I've quoted from the book of Malachi - especially this verse:

Malachi 4:Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord...

Chapter 4 of Malachi gives us a quick rundown of God's intentions in the last days.

We've seen this next verse in many places regarding the last days, which contradicts those who say all bible prophecy has been fulfilled.

Malachi 4:1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven

Isaiah 24:6 ...the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.

Very frightening future for the proud and wicked:

Malachi 4:1 ...and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble...

A day is coming that there shall be nothing left of them...

Malachi 4:1 ...the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch

But for the righteous who fear God - the outcome will be the exact opposite:

Malachi 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings

It's usually the wealthy and wicked who tread on the 'poor & vulnerable' - but the roles will be reversed:

Malachi 4:3 And ye shall tread down the wicked

Malachi 4:3...for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this

The verses where we see 'in the day' - are equivalent to the familiar 'in that day'; meaning the last days

I'm pretty sure I can show that this can only happen after the 7 vials have been poured out, part of that is Satan being put into chains and put into the Pit when he and all remaining fallen angels are released so God can finish 'the bruise to Satan's head' as well as all the other fallen angels not already in the fiery lake. He would either be part of the 24 Elders that will sit on thrones during the 1,000 years act as shepherds to the 12 tribes who have just been resurrected from the grave according to Eze:37. Moses would be part of that group.
The point is they are alive on earth only after the wrath associated with Jesus is in the past so the ones being instructed are part of the 1,000 year group and the only wrath that comes after the return is when Satan is released from the Pit and God sends him to the lake. The people are witnesses to that event rather than they are tempted to join Satan and the remaining fallen angels.

Eze:38 and 39 are also during the 1,000 year reign. Gog is not created until 7 years and 7months of the 1,000 year reign have expired. The bones that are gathered are the 200M angelic horsemen that are the manifestation of 4 fallen angels that are released from the Pit. They rejoin Satan and then both are sent to the lake.

Mal:3 is referencing John the Baptist and the fulfillment is in Jogn's speech in John:1 about him being a witness to Jesus rather than he is who Jesus becomes by the end of the NT.
Combined they cover both bruises mentioned in Ge:3:15.

The people that start off Eze:39 are the 144,000 and the resurrected from Eze:37 and their gathering at the end of that chapter includes both groups as the resurrected ones drink from the river in Eze:47 first and the resurrected from the Church drink before the gentiles that were alive after the 7th vial had been poured out do. That is who is alive for the 1,000 years, nobody is given in marriage so no children are born during the 1,000 years.

Since the RCC Clergy are a flop at being 'spiritual leaders' they might make better bankers for the gentiles using OT banking rules. Gentiles become 'brothers' and 'strangers' would be any 'merchant' and they would pay interest on the loans they take out. (ie 10% return on a loan with 6% interest attached = a net profit of 4%, that and loans to rich people cover all the banking costs)
One might even make the Priest 'gardeners' and turn the rest over to the Nuns as they treat children differently (I hope)
I could handle a Church on every corner where you went in at took some money from the collection plate if you were a bit short till pay-day. Today that comes with the highest interest allowed by law, lol.
The RCC came under the control of Jewish bankers at some point way in the past and that never gets reversed as far as I know. They became the 'buck stops here' so 'their bosses' do not get exposed. Perhaps molesting children is the payment demanded from them to show there will never be a revolt.

I would put it when opium (Egyptian)became a drug only available on the 'black market'. The elite had all they could use and the 'others' now had to pay 3x as much for lower quality. It is not in their best interest to have a population you are controlling have the means to all become as smart as Sherlock on a bad day.

And to summarize verses 1-3

Malachi is addressing “the great and terrible day of the Lord”. He teaches about the coming judgment when God will set them ablaze in His holy anger and how those that fear him will take part in this judging.

This will be also be true during millennial reign of Jesus - the saints will be the judges.

He reminds them that the commandments he gave to Moses was for all of Israel:

Malachi 4:4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.

Malachi chapter 4 begins with a scenario of frightening judgements in the last days, and ends with 2 very interesting verses.
