We learn a little about Enoch in the book of Genesis - where there are 3 verses devoted to him

The first verse is Genesis 5:21

As noted above Enoch had a son at 65 - not that he died by the age of 65:

And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah

There are some interesting facts about MEthuselah:

He lived 969 years. This was back in the pre-flood era when nearly all lived extremely long lives. Methuselah may not hold the record of living longer than anyone else, but he does hold the record for living longer than any one else RECORDED

Also - if one will take the time to do the calculations, the global flood of Noah's fame came IMMEDIATELY AFTER Methuselah's death.

As some preachers have suggested, it is almost as though God was waiting for Methuselah to die before he rained down (pun intended) his judgment on the earth.

Methuselah had a son named Lamech who became the father of Noah

Just like the flood didn't happen until Methuselah's died;

Why do I say the gog magog war takes place before the great tribulation?

Because of these 5 verses:

Daniel 8:23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. (the transgressors are the Israelis) Then the antichrist will be revealed

Matthew 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) (When we see the antichrist in the holy place)

Matthew 24:21.....21 For then shall be great tribulation

Ezekiel 39:22 So the house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God from that day and forward. (This is after the gog magog war their transgressions come to full)

Ezekiel 39:23 ...Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.

Here's a condensed explanation of each verse:

Matthew 24:15,21 says - the antichrist will stand in the holy place - and then there shall be a great tribulation.

Daniel 8:23 tells us - when the transgressors are come to full - the antichrist will stand up (this is the same antichrist in Matthew 24).

We learn in Ezekiel 39 23 - it's the Israelis who are the transgressors and in verse 22 - after Israel witnesses the supernatural power of God during the Gog Magog war - they accept him from that day on as their God.

How do we know the antichrist is not Antiochus IV Epiphanes, as this article would have us believe?

Let's start here:

2 Thessalonians 2:4...he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Antiochus never went into the temple and declared that "he" himself (the man - not zeus the idol) was god. Nor, for that matter has anyone else.

Dan 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

Well we know already from Matthew 24 that there will be a great tribulation - after the antichrist stands in the temple.

Then in Matthew 24 Jesus issues an 'emergency/mandatory evacuation order':

Matthew 24:16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains...

And the Israelis that flee will live in the mountains for 3 1/2 years

Once again we are given the time frame in days - and verse 17 it's repeated, as it's been many times - it's for the last days.
