Grilled cheese and vegetable soup.

Hot dogs/Connie dogs

Make some hamburger panties and serve em with instant mashed potatoes and canned peas

Spaghetti with store brand sauce, just roast and dice some garlic to add to it, and it'll be just fine

Quite a few things you can do that are extremely cheap to feed a family with.

Ya know what's tasty & healthy?

Pour some apple sauce in a bowl, add a little sugar & cinnimon if you wish.

microwave (just warm it up a little).

Add grape nuts or any box cerial.

Tastes exactly like apple pie! Delicious and nutritious!

It isn't. It's the total opposite of healthy. Might as well eat cake for breakfast.

Fruit with added sugar and grains is 2x's the sugar. On top of the apple being a high sugar fruit. Then it's been nuked, but enjoy your junk food.

So yeah, it's the total opposite of healthy.
"The fundamental question of our time is whether the West has the will to survive. ... Our own fight for the West does not begin on the battlefield — it begins with our minds, our wills, and our souls... Americans, Poles, and the nations of Europe value individual freedom and sovereignty. Real food can be a lot less expensive than processed, convenience foods.
You just have to be able to cook/create a meal. Try shopping in the outer edges of the supermarket where the less processed stuff is. You would be surprised to see how much you pay for "convenience ".

Reduce your meat consumption...... Think of meat as a compliment to the meal, not the main focus. A little goes a long way. Americans eat way too much meat. I love good meat but I do not need to eat it every meal. I would rather eat a better quality more infrequently or reduce the amount.

Many vegetables are very inexpensive and easy to use in a variety of ways like cabbage..... Slaw, stuffed, sautéed. Also eating seasonally is less expensive than foods coming from another hemisphere. Visit farmers markets.... Most states or counties have them. Join a CSA. Mine cost me $25 a week and for that amount of money I would be hard pressed to buy that amount of food plus it is usually organic and totally fresh and lasts way longer than store bought produce.

Create a good pantry stocked with interesting basics so that it is easy to
Take what ever you have and create something different. Use herbs and spices, different oils and vinegars, nuts, etc to add flavor and a new take on simple foods. And learn how to cook. PBS has the "Create" TV channel.
Watch and learn and it is free. I don't waste money on cable TV but can watch that channel and I am a better cook for it.

Don't forget about hitting your Dollar General store for food. I stock up on sardines. It's good protein.

About leftovers...

I knew someone as a child and he would never eat leftovers. He grew up to have a good job, a wife and 5 kids. He's eating leftovers and no waste.

LOL!

Leftovers are a wonderful thing. We make food en mass, one pot etc. I take the leftovers to work in a igloo cooler and warm it for my lunch. My stepson does the same.

My father who passed away a couple of years ago at 98 years of age HATED leftovers and insisted that everything be cooked to order.

I remember my mother laughing and taking all of the leftovers and chopping it up to make a new dish that fit his bill..

LOL

Some things taste better as leftovers. Like stuffed cabbage, soup, meatballs in sauce. The flavors get to develop.
