OK I will agree with the response to my post and I will still stand by my statements.. NOT To be fuzzy but just to bring it up.. I truly am watching with eyes wide open.. We already know where we will retreat if necessary and have already stored food, water and everything we need to ride out major earth events.. I also am a practicing shaman and so what I will do to ride out may be different and where i gain my evidence may not be Scientific... i do not think that makes it irrelevant. I will also say FEAR mongering is likely in this society and I simply want to point out.. especially in this forum to consider everything before attaching to ANY ONES Idea of what is happening, about to happened or has happened.. Science is always having to go back to say WE were wrong, why? Mainly because the observer effects the results.
SO i agree to disagree and my point is not Flowery.. its been practice for a long time by many intelligent species on this planet. Many have developed sanctuaries in which to Pray, be in during Cataclysmic events, the evidence is still being discovered today.. Many have choosen.. as OP pointed out to engrave stone with symbols to remind the future of what they went through and where it came from.. IT JUST BOGGLES my brain to look at is all and SAY THIS .. they knew Ahead of time.. We know ahead of time and there is something to be said for that.. I do not think its DOOM like most of this species seems to choose.. I THINK if the UNIVERSE IS WARNING us with a Shot off the Bow like you said.. there is something we are MISSING ..or this HUGE power house called the universe would just wipe us off the map and be done with our insignificant display of life and evolution.

O, We DO know that even the act of observation changes outcomes. Just a touch of faith can move a mountain.
It's important to place equal emphasis on preparation of the mind (esoteric) and the body.
But don't worry, A! There are far more people walking around with their head up their ass than those who are "fear-mongering" (not my choice of label, but for the sake of argument). So whatever doom is attracted to this planet via our state of consciousness would come regardless.
And the fact that the three Abrahamic religions have billions of people waiting for either a messiah or an antichrist would cause problems if thoughts change reality.
This topic (OP's topic) fascinates me from a purely scientific and historical standpoint- it is very interesting to look back at ancient communications (via writing or art) and see similar narratives worldwide- we do know that the heavens are quite predictable - the earth spins, the planets revolve, the galaxies galexicate, the universes universify (joking with those two made up verbs)- so when we see a pattern in history that happens to match a geological pattern in science, it's very obvious that these correlations can be easily explained in SPACE.
OP, your explanation (the cliff, the fact that the planets of Nemesis do cross earth orbit, etc...) was the most concise and easily understood on this topic that I have read. THANK YOU
