Exactly. Why massively over engineer a building out of solid prefabricated 85 ton stone blocks precision engineered with interlocking bevels, holes and extrusions quarried 6.5 and 56 miles away and drag them up a steep mountain to put them into place.
Advanced civilization tried to build some kind of bunker! And were afraid probably of a giant tusnami.

As in they use perfect geometry to balance the stones so they can be easily swung open or otherwise pivoted on their axis with a mere push of one's hand.
