BREAKING: As many as 30 vehicles involved in crash on I-70 near Richmond IND!!!!!1

RICHMOND, Ind. (Jan. 12, 2016) – A crash involving multiple cars near Richmond has shut down Interstate 70. The westbound lanes were closed for a crash that involved as many as 30 cars.

Indiana State Police said the crash could take hours to clean up. I-70 westbound traffic will likely be diverted onto U.S. 35 to State Road 1, state police said. The pileup stemmed from a crash involving a semi and a car, police said. There are numerous slide-offs in the area.

That was just one of several crashes around central Indiana led to the closure of interstates around the area Tuesday morning.
