Boomers were the golden era of the USA.
Elvis, the Beatles, moon landing, Star Trek. How do you top the generation that thought anything was possible?
There was an invincible positivism in Boomers. Big everything. Can do attitude, and get 'er done.
They were fools and geniuses. But whatever they were, they had to be the best. Boomers were America's first born child. How to you top the heirs of all things?
Tough act to follow.

i never went to school past 12 years old because i knew nothing said was true
i never listened to adults past when i was 3 years old because i knew the dissimilarity between them and me
with that in mind because i am born here i take the trouble to alter here to fit my frame of mind to be comfortable for me living here
