While I wait

when i was about 9 - 11 yrs old for some days at my government owned school a large siren was placed on the roof of our school and men from the government lectured each class on the meaning of the siren
they said that when the siren went off we never had time to leave school to go home because the siren was the sign that our soviet union had launched the preemptive nuclear strike by missiles and the forward radar of the west had detected the missiles and there was 15 minutes left before the missiles struck uk killing everyone
the good news was the 15 mins allowed the west to launch it`s missiles at the soviet union thus killing all people in the soviet union
when i got home my parents had received a letter from our government some weeks before informing them that the nuclear siren for our area was being erected on the roof of my school and i and the other students would be informed officially on the day the siren was erected thus my parents had said nothing to me because they were content to follow government guidelines on the topic
