I would think it would also go back to what the expectation of the experience was and the emotional value attached to the expectation. Quoting: It's A Secret The experience itself may hold more value to one party, while the outcome is of more importance to another. It would seem that if the value lies in the experience, it would be easier to be satisfied with the outcome because there is little emotional attachment to it. Whereas if the outcome holds the emotional value and is not emotionally satisfying, the entire experience could be felt as a failure - tainted emotionally by an unsatisfactory outcome.
