Oxycontin Moron

He is just angry that he had to illegally get pills and Michael J Fox can get them legally

For getting such special treatment he mocks as only a very ignorant person can

He has an ear condition for a reason

When his ears worked he didn't hear

soon it will be his eyes-he has them but he sees not

Let him face the truth before the truth convicts his cold spirit

A amster of hypocrisy and greed for his own comfort

Disgusting

Many Parkinsons people are as bad and far worse than what Mr Fox demonstrated-rush obviously specds too much time on the gulf course and behind in his safe little booth-to understand reality

soon he will not escape his perversities

Re: Rush Limbaugh Mimicked Michael J. Fox's Parkinson's Disease
..
So Michael didn't take his meds so he could show congress the effects of the disease.
..

Nothing personal 150292, but this needs to said over and over:
Those movements are NOT effects of the disease, but rather the medication. Sure it is a result from the disease, but that's because of the medication. More advanced research and those erratic movements would be history, even more advanced research and the disease would be history.

This is a classical example of foot in mouth prejudice. I pay attention in this world so I knew this fact, those that don't, well if one is about to say something about something one doesn't know anything about, then either stay silent or spend the time to do one search on Google and educate your self on the subject. It is simple really, stop throwing shit on the fan, it will just come right back at you.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 127676

No offense taken. I do a lot of research on many different subjects, but I'll be the first to admit I don't know everything. I honestly thought I heard one of the news stations say Michael hadn't taken his meds to show the effects of his disease. I must have misheard or misunderstood what was said.
Nevertheless, even if the jerky movements are caused by the medications, it still shows first-hand evidence of what a person with Parkinsons disease goes through.

Re: Rush Limbaugh Mimicked Michael J. Fox's Parkinson's Disease
It all comes down to ideology.

Dems: It's okay to kill a fetus as long as it may potentially save lives in the future.

Reps: It's wrong to take a life even if it means condemning others to a lifetime of sickness.

Each individual must make their decision of weather it's okay to kill an innocent to save others.

It's funny how Dems think we are sacrificing soldiers in war and that it is not worth it (Even though the soldiers made a consious decision to enlist), but are willing to murder innocent fetus to use in scientific experiments to see if it is even possible to relieve some of the symptoms.

Dems market stem cell research as a cure for problems, when there has not been one case in which a doctor has taken stem cells to cure anyone of a disease.

actually stem cells no longer have to be taken from foetuses.

The end of these problems may be in sight. Within the last two months, three different sets of researchers have announced new sources of stem cells which may have sufficient properties in common with ESCs to allow for stem cell research to proceed unhindered. Two of the groups have independently come up with the same alternative source for a working stem cell replacement– testicles. The third has come up with something completely different.

In March of 2006, Gerd Hassenfuss and a team of researchers from Georg-Auguste University in Gottingen, Germany published a paper in the journal Nature. In it they detail the development of what they call "multipotent adult germline stem cells" (maGSCs). Working from spermatogonial (sperm-producing) cells obtained from the testicles of adult mice, the German team has successfully produced several lines of cells that mimic the abilities of ESCs. They can survive in culture, and they can be coaxed into becoming virtually any kind of mature tissue, a trait known as pluripotency. Most importantly, since they derive from an adult source, the ethical issues surrounding embryonic cultures become irrelevant.

The German team is already beginning to expand their research to human spermatogonial cells, using volunteers already undergoing testicular biopsies as part of IVF treatment. Given their achievement with the mouse cells, they are confident of their eventual success.

LimpPawn eventually apologized to Fox.
That in and of itself speaks volumes to the muck he dowsed himself in.
His, as well as his handlers days are truely numbered..... Amen

No he didn't apoligize to Fox. Rush Limbaugh was sorry that Fox used this disease as a ploy to get Democrats elected so they could kill more unborn babies in some way to use stem cells.

Michael J. Fox has this disease because he believes in sickness.

This is not about Rush Limbaugh. You Dumbocrats sitll don't get it yet. If you lose the Congress seats you have in coming because you're o dam dumb.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 126953

Well 126953 - You are Wrong!
He did apologize. Look it up, before you speak next time.

"This is the only time I've ever seen Michael J. Fox portray any of the symptoms of the disease he has," Limbaugh said. "He can barely control himself."

"Now people are telling me they have seen Michael J. Fox in interviews and he does appear the same way in the interviews as he does in this commercial," Limbaugh said, according to a transcript on his Web site. "All right then, I stand corrected. . . .

So I will bigly, hugely admit that I was wrong,

and I will apologize to Michael J. Fox, if I am wrong in characterizing his behavior on this commercial as an act."

Re: Rush Limbaugh Mimicked Michael J. Fox's Parkinson's Disease
They were not cruel. According to some in Micheal's book what a lucky man, or something like that, he stated that he stopped taking his meds before testifying before the senate committee so they could not only hear about the disease but see it as well. Did he make a decision to do the same for the commercial, I do not know, but as you can see if he did it was a brilliant move, look at the sympathy he got!!!

I like what Glen Beck said about it, step back from the emotions and politics and do what is right, Glen Beck has a daughter that stem cell research may help, but he is against it because it is wrong, you go Glen. Rush simply said he was acting or off his meds, which is probably true.

I am sorry he has a disease but if the only way to cure it is killing fetus I am against the cure.

To the secular poster who says christians care more for fetus than an adult, you are a little slow, there is no difference. One is born the other not, they are still living human beings and I will never be for their murder!!!

If you do not like what I say, cool, you do not have to.

THIS OPINION IS JUST THAT, THIS IS NOT TO BE FORCED ON ANYONE. Make your own choices and stick to them. I gladly give you that right.

Not all believers what to convert the world. I realize there are poeple who do not wish to change or be converted, to you I say, Carry On.

Re: Rush Limbaugh Mimicked Michael J. Fox's Parkinson's Disease
Well, just to stick my nose in here..

I don't like Rush.. I am a Neal Boortz fan.. I really am a libertarian you know..

I am a fan of Mikey Fox... Teen Wolf, Back to the Future, Family Ties, the list marches on... from costaring with James Woods... to sleeping with Supergirl..

So far, I am not sure what to believe about the medication.. does taking it make you shake... does not taking it make you shake...

Either way, it is clear that Fox did something to his medication before filming the spot. His story, his choice how to portray it. The man has been in front of a camera before.

Rush wasn't trying to be mean to Fox.. I don't think.. I think he was trying to derail Fox's message.

He did it the wrong way.

The right way is to point out that ESR has never produced a single viable cure for anything while adult stem cell lines have produceed several cures... and are looking to be the more viable of the two.

The right way is to point out that you or I or Micheal J. Fox or Rush Limbaugh can research ESC all they like.. it is not illegal in any way shape or form. In fact, many universities are currently working very hard with ESC lines.

The right way is to put up countering opinions from other celebrities that do not LIE like the ones do in the current counter-ad.

One of the few things I do not like about the right is the way that they campaign... not because they are mean spirited...

because they are fucking incompetant.

...lets look at the entire picture here.

Mr. Fox came from Canada MANY MANY years ago. After several years he could not return to Canada because NOT being a US citizen he was not paying taxes here, or in Canada.

If he returned to Canada, he would have to pay taxes on all he had earned here. After all those years of earning BIG dollars here in the US, and after he became too ill to work, he bacame a citizen in 2000 when he needed to be a citizen to have his NPO (non-profit organization).

I'm not saying it's not a good cause, but I think if you don't like the way we run our country... Canadian GO HOME!

He has BY FAR been treated better in this country medically han he would have EVER been treated in Canada.
