Why? Because that would be very concerning. There is no practical reason for building a "Mecca of the West" in the United States of America other than as an act of cultural warfare. Imagine if the Catholic Church decided to build a "Vatican of the East" in the middle of Saudi Arabia.

Frankly, the clearly sacrilegious nature of it was a dead giveaway. Imagine if someone announced he was building a "juruselem" of the west and expecting Christians to pay thousands to go there.

You can't just build a big mosque in Wyoming and expect it to be somewhere religious people go.
