According to a criminal complaint, a majority of the evidence used to convict the Oregon Militia was provided by an activist named Pete Santilli


On Wednesday afternoon, U.S. Magistrate Judge Stacie F. Beckerman unsealed the government’s criminal complaint against Ammon and Ryan Bundy, Jon Ritzheimer, and the five others arrested in connection with the Oregon Militia occupation. The complaint revealed a few shocking details:
Pete Santilli provided most of the evidence
The FBI claims that the most helpful evidence in the entire case was Pete Santilli’s podcasts. Santilli is an activist that was there acting as press. Santilli was broadcasting live conversations with the activists. Often times things were said that were not intended for a public audience. This information proved monumental in convicting the militia.

Santilli was arrested the same night as Amon Bundy. He was charged at 6:30 p.m. with conspiracy to impede federal officer. This is a felony offense.
