It started snowing 45 minutes ago and I have an inch on the ground so far, visibility out here in the coulees is down to 500-600 yards. I have 520 pounds of rock salt and 20 cu.ft. of sand for our driveway, it's 1/5th of a mile and 1/3 of that is at least a 15 degree grade. Quoting: Happytard I love it. I'll plow the first time right before my better half gets home. Winter is my favorite. Hi, south central Nebraska here. We have around a foot of snow, it's in weird drifts all over the property due to the harsh wind that has not yet let up. It doesn't seem to be snowing anymore (ours started yesterday around 3pm). It is hard to tell, though, because of all the blowing snow. This is the most snow I've ever seen at one time - I'm a transplant to this area from the Deep South. |

I bet you get heavy wind where you are at. We had only 8" on the ground before this started. I just measured the new snow on my driveway to see where we're at, and it's exactly 6". I don't know that we'll get the foot they forecasted as possible. I'll be plowing for a while later tonight, though, for sure. |
