Ask Tommy Robinson The former leader of the English Defence League is now a national pariah. Perhaps he deserves it – or perhaps it should worry us all. A few weeks back, Tommy Robinson, former leader of the English Defence League, sent me his self-published memoirs, called Enemy of the State. The book has been largely ignored by most of the established media, although has caused a bit of a stir among counter-Jihadist groups across Europe. I’d recommend people read it, although perhaps not for the reasons Tommy would like you to... In one story, Tommy caught prospective Tory MP Afzal Amin on camera trying to persuade him to stage manage an EDL demonstration so he (Afzal) could then "persuade" them to not go through with it – and take the credit. ... His mate Dean got into a schoolground fight with a Muslim boy. Normal stuff, says Tommy, except Dean then got rushed by a "huge gang of other Muslim lads". Dean ended up in hospital. Tommy was then beaten up with some friends by a group of Muslim lads when he was about 14 or15 – being spat at and called a "white pig". ... He was subjected to a non-stop campaign by the police to use every power they had to harass, disrupt, and, ultimately, recruit him. Prima facie it looks that way. He has been arrested and acquitted an incredible number of times; bail hearings were set at intentionally awkward times; bail conditions were sometimes highly dubious. He even claims that prison guards kept putting him on Muslim majority wings so he’d get beaten up. ... [link to www.telegraph.co.uk] Wow. The Telegraph defending Tommy Robinson!!! We've known this for ages but it's always been covered up and the rightwing protesters who got the blame. This is a seismic shift in msn reporting in the UK. Seems the truth's too big to cover up any longer.

Ask Tommy Robinson I didn't expect the result in the survey at the end. 86% (over 14,000 votes) were in support of the democratic right for the EDL to exist and not be harassed by the state. Maybe there is hope.

Ask Tommy Robinson In case anyone thinks he was making it up about being deliberately shut in a cell with muslims I just noticed this thread from last year: "He was being taken for a legal visit and was then put in a room with these guys. The door was locked and the warders all disappeared. "He has quite a few injuries to his face and neck and needed two visits to the medical wing." The source said his attackers were Muslim prisoners but that could not be verified. Robinson suspects the situation was engineered by the warders because of the obvious threat posed to him by opponents of the EDL.
