Just got a harassing phone call ( scammer )

Some of those numbers, if you call them, open you up to all sorts of billing nightmares.

I suggest NOT posting the phone number unless you're trying to assist the scammers in finding more people?

Trust that people can figure it out for themselves, you know?

Call scammers back with something like Skype. No way that lead back to you.

Report them to the FCC and the Attorney General in your state immediately. Also report them to your phone company, that has faster ways than you do to find out who the perp's carrier is and they can get them shut down. Never be reluctant to fight back with all the legal recourse you have just because you're worried that the perps might do worse. If they're in your country, they can go to jail for these pranks; if not, you can block them and ignore them. There is nothing that a bunch of filthy muds in some Third World shithole can really do to you and anybody here telling you they can is a stupid moran who deserves anything they get.

I used my blocked phone number from cell.. It rang forever but he finally picked up ..

I guess there was a notice about these particular people scamming some elderly out of 3K .. They claimed they worked for Canada Revenue ( our version of your IRS ) .. They told the old folks they did an audit on 2005 to 2009 taxes and claimed they owed 30k , but just pay 3k for now..

These fuckers sounded like they were from INDIA..

I bought my elderly mother in law one of those super loud rape whistles.

Now when the Indians call her telling her to turn on her computer because she has a virus, she just blasts them.

I'm getting a call every night from a 646 area code. They want to take an opinion poll. After the third night, I blocked that number.

POS telemarketers.....

I get those too , but they don't try to scam $$ usually

get a caller display service on your phone. costs us a few quid a month, but its well worth it

when a suspicious looking number rings we just ignore it

We have a lot of these guys calling as the "IRS" and demanding immediate payment for back taxes over the phone.

It's reached epidemic proportions in my village.
