Old news...why is it people take photos at face value? Ever heard of Photoshop?

Many people believe what they see straight away at face value. It serves as a reminder to those that aren't entirely aware of these things.

Much happened with it even before the days of Photoshop or computer image processing. Really good dark room technique could fool alot of people and most likely did.

Somethings were done merely as spoofs. Others had a more sinister tone.

BTW: We still have Jackolopes in Nebraska, yeppers.
