Women are emotionally hit hardest after a break-up – but men suffer more in the long term and may never truly get over it.

this is what happened to me; don't let it happen to you. get whatever professional help you need to get over the emotional pain if you're having difficulty doing so.

just moving on isn't going to cut it.

I would appreciate it if you can link me up with whatever help I can get because I seem to be having a hard time dealing with it. She acts like she does not care. Over 10 years we've been together and she shows absolutely no type of emotion. Any help would be good. I feel like a damn fool for posting this.

My first thought is to talk to your PCP. Ask him/her if they can recommend a good therapist for you to go see. Check with your health insurance company to see if they'll pay.

therapy is about reframing in your mind what has happened to you so that it not as emotionally painful. developing a new perspective about it what's happening.

I don't know if this will work for you but, i recently learned of a technique to allow emotions to flow out of the body.

simply feel the emotion as much as you can and focus on it. it will eventually start to dissipate and flow out of your system. that's what your goal should be, get rid of it, not bottle it up. never swallow down on an emotion.

it might be a little too soon to try this especially if you've got a lot of pain already going on.

good luck to you, it takes time but i know you can get there.
