Most likely descendents of Merovingians around today -- descendents of Charlemagne and the Carolingians (meaning many or most people of western European descent, and descendents of British royalty (House of Wessex probably descended from House of Kent -- which had Merovingian connections). Many, though not most of us here in America are descendents of British royalty.


Just sayin'


There might be a lot of "Merovingians" or there might not be any.

For genealogists, the jury is still out.


Charlemagne's ancestor, Bertrada of Prum probably was a Merovingian princess, though.
