I agree. Anyone with any program skills can tell you they have the master key. They can open the phone up. They don't have to create a backdoor to every Iphone. Its complete and utter shit.

They can create an Update that only goes to that phone. The FBI already stated they didn't care what they did with the phone afterwords. Do you think the FBI, CIA, NSA, couldn't hack it, they could. I'm starting to believe Apple knows and doesn't want the American people to know. It is easy to hack an iPhone. They know this....why blockade it? why? They are hiding something.

It was the feds who were/are hiding something. Apple did attempt to help the FBI unlock Farook's iPhone data via the iCloud. However, during their effort they discovered that Farook's password had been changed AFTER it was in FBI custody. The FBI came under fire for this, so they've now released a statement basically saying it must have been a screw-up that they changed the password while in their custody. And for reasons unknown, the FBI admitted that Farook's iPhone didn't backup anything to the iCloud after October 19, 2015. Apple's been given additional time to respond to the court order, due next Friday. I'm also hearing that Apple is now willing to work with the feds in creating a law that would allow the requested backdoor software to become available for FBI use.

It's about time someone should take code/encryption writing beyond the laws and reach of the US. A product can be put to market from virtually anywhere on the planet in this day and age. Somebody, somewhere has the balls to do this.

There are only three smartphones in the entire world worth having in your back pocket... iPhone, Microsoft (Nokia phones) and HTM...

If the FBI or other intelligence agency wants to access dsta from a phine of a terrorist in the true context and not a patriot deemed a terrorist for being true to the constitution, then os justified as long a due legal process has been established that demonstrates that the terrorist harmed or could harm others.

However this leg process is moot, when one considers the notion that the NSA has recorded every phone text and internet correspondence and could access any information they required to meet the same end.

It is disaappinting to note that this has not been applied to the Benghazi correspondence, nor has it been used to detect and arresst pedo networks and other nefarious activities (why not?)

The fact that Bill is agreeing is actually the righr way to proceed / as long as the phone being targeted could yield info on other connections that wish to harm US interests...
