In two of those cases, an ambulance was called to treat people for carbon monoxide poisoning. While each of the causes for the CO buildup were different, Langford Fire cannot overstate the importance of a CO detector in addition to working smoke alarms. “In every incident, it was a carbon monoxide detector that alerted the occupants that there was a serious and life threatening problem inside the house,” say Assistant Chief Chris Aubrey. “Those inside had no idea there was a problem until the detector started to sound.” [ link to sooke.pocketnews.ca] |

I think mine might be too low plugged into a low outlet a foot from the floor. At what level does CO2 settle, near the floor or up high? |
