Anonymous Coward User ID: 71363059 United States 02/29/2016 08:50 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Every texan i know is voting Trump or Hillary Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69821307 The general public honestly has no idea about cruz because they confuse him with Rubio too much Your anecdotal experience maybe real, however Texas is a big place and your experience is not indicative of the totality that is Texas. The fact of the matter is Cruz is solidly ahead of Trump in the polling, and has been for quite a while. I personally will be voting for Trump (Cruz being my second choice), yet I try not to let my support go blind and ignorant as Trump has an uphill battle to the presidency. We have to battle attacks from our own party plus the Clinton political machine, which is an efficient and effective machine, as deplorable as I think it is. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71574186 Cruz will get whatever percentage he gets, and that's it. Florida IS a "winner take all" state. If Trump wins a majority (and humiliates Rubio, Bush's apprentice) he takes ALL the states delegates. Texas is a winner take all state if someone gets 50% of the vote. Look it up. |

Probably Trump and Cruz will be the only ones getting Texas delegates, but Cruz will not be the only one. He might not even come in 1st. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 71578000 Germany 02/29/2016 10:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No, it's not. Anybody with 20% or more of the vote gets some delegates. Look it up. Republican candidates can collect delegates in two ways. If they do well in a congressional district, they stand to gain up to three delegates per district. Statewide vote totals determine which candidate or candidates get an additional 47 delegates. If a GOP candidate wins more than half of the votes in Texas, he will get all 47 of those delegates. Anything less and the candidates have to share. [link to interactives.dallasnews.com] |
