I would reorder OP's claim slightly.
The #1 trait that Drumpf supporters show is their penchant for idealizing Drumpf into whatever they fantasize him to be despite the reality of the actual positions he takes. Excusing his obvious lies, his back peddling on positions, his long held counter-conservative record, etc. None of it seems to matter at all to them.
The #2 trait is the desire for absolute authoritarianism. The fantasy of Drumpf waltzing in like a benevolent dictator and imposing his will. The love of police beating people down, etc.
