I think every human starts with a soul. Those who appear soulless have been sucked into the hive mind.  I believe that humans can be born from human clones. These beings would not have a normal soul as we know it. They would have a fraction of the original clone donor soul. In other words, they then are born as a group soul and controlled by spirits.  I like the way you think
