Trump hits 'Corrupt Marco Rubio' in new ad

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump attacks "Corrupt Marco Rubio" in a new Florida ad.

"Corrupt Marco Rubio has spent years defrauding the people of Florida," a narrator says at the beginning of the 60-second ad, entitled "Corrupt."

"As a legislator, he flipped on a key vote after making a quick $200,000 from selling his house to the mother of the bill's lobbyists."

The ad also calls out the Florida senator for using the Republican party's credit card to pave his driveway and "live it up" in Las Vegas.

"When he got caught, he said he had used the wrong credit card, but he had used the same Republican party card for six flights between Miami and Tallahassee," the narrator continues, over the words "lived by different rules."

"Then billed the state for the same airline tickets and pocketed the cash."

It also criticizes Rubio for his record in the Senate, calling him a "no-show" with the "worst voting record of all."

"Marco Rubio, another corrupt, all-talk, no-action politician," the ad ends.

Trump said in a statement that his Republican primary rival has cheated with credit cards and has done favors for lobbyists. He also criticized the senator for taking orders from the Republican establishment and Super PACS.

“Lightweight Senator Marco Rubio is a dishonest person," he said.

"In my opinion, he is a total crook and I am doing the people of Florida a great favor by further exposing him."

Rubio is angling for a win in his home state of Florida in the March 15 primary. In a Monmouth University poll released Monday, Trump saw his lead in the state cut to single digits.
