You still come across people who sell them dirt cheap (relatively) because they think "it's Chinese, it must be junk" but it's a very good firearm. Double hook trigger group keeps your shots more consistent, thicker steel, some are even milled aluminum. Mags are cheap. Ammo is cheap. Upgrades are cheap. Plus they are fun as hell to shoot. First thing I did to mine was swapped the stock/grip out for a collapsible stock and regular grip as I'm a lefty and someone had reworked the wood thumbhole grip for a right hand, plus I didn't really like it anyways. |

Watch the guys that win at 3 gun comps they all shoot AR's. AR is a much more adaptable platform, more accurate. If I wanted penetration give me the AK but that isn't what this is about. I own an AK and wish I had an AR actually. Gen. John B Gordon and Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest were the finest citizen-soldiers birthed in America. |
