Strange helicopter hovering last night

As soon as it was dark a VERY large copter flew slower than I've ever seen a helicopter fly, like it was scoping the area, then it just stopped in our neighborhood for a good 10 minutes, then went a few miles south and hovered another 5 or 10 minutes and so on.

It might have been a Chinook as it seemed really long, but was hard to tell in the dark. It had a big green lights and some red or course.

The only time helicopters ever hover here is for Bayflight, Police searches, or news choppers, this was none of those. This was very different.

I can't help but thinking about the thread that said we would be under martial law in a few months here in the SE. It definitely seemed as if it was scoping the area or doing some sort of practice.

Now I'm thinking some serious rioting and shit is going to break out due to elections.
