People actually ask Russians how they feel about him don't always believe what you hear online. You have the greatest tool at your disposal the internet. You can talk to people from all over the world and get the true news.  Levada-center is a pro-Western agency. Here are their charts: [ link to www.levada.ru] Even Khodorkovskiy and his bunch admit that Putin has high ratings. Though they are now claiming that it's due Stockholm Syndrome or something.  I have talked to Russians from other similar sites to this and they said people hate over there. They are afraid to speak out. I hate to break it to you but he is an elitist puppet. Go to Moscow and tell me if its Christian anymore? It went the way of London and Parris. I don't know if you work for the government but if you want to convince people he west Russia are the good guys start treating your people better. As long as there is internet there is truth . It will set us free! There are different types of Russians, duh. And most of those who even bother going to Western sites and conversing in English are pro-Western liberals who are less than 15% of Moscow and less than 7% of Russia in general. Moscow - and Russia at that - was predominantly atheistic for 70 years. Now there's a renaissance of all Russian traditional religions (and a bunch of not traditional ones).
