Tennessee state lawmaker leaves $0 tip for Nashville Hooters waitress

A Tennessee lawmaker who stiffed a Nashville Hooters waitress was exposed when the server took to social media, reports revealed Thursday.

Republican state Rep. Mary Littleton wrote “sorry” on the receipt rather than including any gratuity on her $36 bill Monday night at a Hooters near the state capitol in downtown Nashville, according to a picture of the receipt server Amanda Anderson posted on Facebook.

“State representatives are supposed to exhibit class and integrity … this one acted like a child,” Anderson wrote on Facebook. [link to www.nydailynews.com]

Littleton, a mother of four who represents Cheatham and Dickson counties west of Nashville, didn’t describe what specifically had been lacking in her Hooters experience.

So, Republican, female, politician, choosing to eat at Hooters instead of another establishment. Then she decides not to leave a tip, based upon 'principle' (per her comments to the media), after having received bad service from the waitress. But then she writes an apologetic "Sorry" on the receipt.? Sorry for what? If you truly believe in the principles upon which you base your actions, you don't apologize for it. Soooo many things wrong with this story.
