DARK Act defeated in U.S. Senate as lawmakers receive tidal wave of calls from angry food consumers who are tired of being LIED to about GMO
[link to www.naturalnews.com]

(NaturalNews) The DARK Act was defeated in the U.S. Senate today, achieving a massive victory for consumers and also for the Environmental Working Group, which helped organize large-scale opposition to the bill.

The DARK Act would have outlawed state-level GMO labeling laws nationwide, condemning American food consumers to remaining completely in the dark over the genetically engineered content of their food.

Natural News thanks all our readers who took action to help defeat the DARK Act. We are fighting for your right to know what you're eating, and with your help, we really can defeat Monsanto and its minions like Ted Cruz. ("Monsatan's Preacher.")

Tidal wave of calls slammed Senators nationwide
I spoke to industry insiders this morning who confirmed that the offices of many U.S. Senators were hit hard with a "tidal wave of calls" from concerned Americans. Even many Republican senators are starting to come around on this issue, and GMO labeling continues to gain steam across the country as food consumers increase their demand for honest food labels and overall food transparency.

Good grief, the is probably one of the few good news posts that signify a great victory for all the people on here.

The fact it has not been pinned is ridiculous.

They might bring it back as they want to pass it before Vermont's GMO labeling law goes into effect in June-July.

OK, whatever... Out of all the issues we face (that are REAL) like $19T in debt with $1T deficits going forward off the cliff, like the NORKS launching rockets into orbit (proving they can EMP us), like the Iranians launching rockets designed to carry their nukes, like 0bamacare obliterating our HC system, like open borders with millions of wetbacks (some of which are terrorists) cascading across our borders (did you see the border agents are carrying radiation detecting equipment now?), like negative interest rates taking us into yet another free-money bubble that will NOT end well, like the dem nominee for PRESIDENT being a fucking treasonous felonious CUNT...
Considering the real threats we face, somehow, GMO labeling just isn't that big of a deal to me. Fuck the food producers if you wish. I really don't care about this particular issue.
