I was watching an interesting video about gods identities from various sources...when a part tricked me.
If you enter the world of the death...you cannot live without a substitute.
That said we can assume that dead souls would do anything to trick other soul into the trap.
Maybe your dead relatives are just predeting on you and trick you to get into the light as they may earn your place
