Proof the VA does not give a fuck about vets

I am a Disabled VET. They make my blood boil.

it's the four D's.

delay, delete, deny..until death.

this isn't about money. This is about life and death for my brothers and sisters, and it is at their expense that this goes on. It needs to stop.

The VA actively tries to kill vets.

This is beyond politics at this point, and I don't know if there is a political solution.

In 1932, WWI veterans and their families went to DC and camped out on the lawn..

in the end, the Army was brought out against them to force them to leave and some were killed.

for many years, the military and veterans administration has been using people as involunatary human guinea pigs and chalking it up to 'national security'.

In reality, it's about corporations and 'trade secrets' and patents and copyrights more than anything else, and that is just pathetic.

the pharmaeceutical companies shouldn't be what dictates what drugs a veteran takes but they are. that and budget and policy considerations.

since when did policy matter more to a doctor than the health of the patient?

it seems like since they started getting those checks from the govt to do VA work. and no, it doesn't matter if the check is a large one or small one, not to doctors trying to pay off medical loans and some that can no longer qualify for malpractice insurance because they have so many black marks against them.

Yep and it's nothing new. They put a dear family member through terrible things back in the 90's. He finally ended up dying on the surgery table. His last decade was really bad and I'd wish no one had to go through this. I AM thankful for the nurses he had, they always seemed to care and I've had nurses myself who you could tell did NOT care; you can tell the difference. He was in the Minneapolis VA. He was in WWII. And some of his sons were in Nam (one committed suicide 30 years later) and other wars.

If they worked in the civilian sector without a guarantee of job security and protection like this, they would be FIRED.

Tell me about it, my dad served in WW2 and is trying to get a benefit at the moment......well still waiting a YEAR later. They want them to die first, they will both turn 91 this summer.

Hey, the VA is on top of things. Lt. Alonzo Cushing recently received the Medal of Honor (posthumously) for his actions at Gettysburg.

His VA claims finally came through; his appointment is in six weeks.

It is my opinion that it isn't the hiring practices so much as the FIRING practices that need work.

people can watch the great depression series on youtube to see how this situation went around the presidents orders, during the congress debating the early payout of war payments, congress had to be snuck out back doors/tunnels. i think it is parts 4-6 that shows this movement, treatment, and shutdown of the vets protest and encampment across the river in dc.

The VA's been nothing but great for me since '74. Can't complain.

Treating vets like this is total BS! If this isnt bad enough, research how they are treated in HOAs. This crap has to stop.

Fifteen days without pay? Big deal! They all should be fired. End of playtime for all of them. They are not trustworthy individuals and their pictures and deeds should be posted throughout the web.

You got that right. My VA primary care doctors was overdosing me for nearly a year. I brought this to the attention to my doctor, he then accused me of taking amphetamines and tested me for it, result was of course negative. The experience nearly killed me.

Our Vets deserve everything from our Country, and they are getting nothing.

It is one of the worst evils in this Country.

I think the best thing anyone can do for a veteran today is simply listen to them if they have something to beef about with the va system. Because sometimes the worst feeling in the world is simply that of not being heard.

and for all so many veterans have given, and some gave all..

they deserve so much more than that. so much more than they are getting.

perhaps to even accompany a veteran as they attempt to navigate the system in it's complexity at times would help..

Don't ever let them 'remove' a too big kidney stone.
First they made me wait 3 months until the blocked kidney was wrecked, then they put some earthmoving equipment up the pipe to blast it out.
Bled for 2 weeks, now peeing is a problem, there's no pressure and it takes 5 minutes to trickle out.

The guts around the bladder were achy and sore for 2 years, and there was a serious infection.

All from a kidney stone.

If I ever have another problem I'll just jump off a parking garage. Save myself the torment of their wonderful care.

They are absolute pigs, they don't care at all.
I had one kind nurse, she was great. The rest can kiss my broken down ass.

I'm going to tell you a secret. And you will need to listen carefully because you will need to search out the truth on your own. When they were 13,000 behind the senate said they would rubber stamp any veterans finance package Obama and the house put together, to get our veterans covered.

But obama did nothing. 300,000 veterans died in the US waiting to be seen by a doctor under Obama's watch.

But He had an accomplice in Hillary.

And the House person who refused to act is a candidate now. He was the one who killed those 300,000.

I like your strategy but for your idea to work you are relying on Vets that visit GLP, with time on their hands to do all the research needed to get your message heard. This is not a 'movement' you are trying to accomplish, but a whisper.
Anyone with a brain that did not feel like going digging knows you are talking about Cruz. Him and Trunp are the only real players in the GOP and Trump did not vote on anything.,,, so
If you want to be heard....form alliances with other Vets(by the 1000's) and pull a BLM type attack on Live National Tele. So it can be edited out. :(. Putting your info/findings on GLP to create a whoa moment in this election with be time and effort wasted. Revolution.

Get with a Hacker to create spam and attack all social media. Then you will be heard.
In addition, you are doing this for awareness or seeking a change. VETS signed up for this type of treatment and I sympathize trust me, but this will pull no weight on the election, The VA or the future.

Think bigger. Make the earth vibrate. VETS are in a stranglehold buddy. If they speak out...they lose the little help they presently get.. Good or bad.
