The plug-ins, the candles, the febreeze sprays and carpet powders. I like my house to smell like a tropical fruit at all times. Quoting: ItsAllOneBigLie Guess I need to figure out a better way. Get a dedicated crock pot. Keep a pot of warm Sangria going 24/7. One bottle of red wine wine, one bottle white wine, (or half a box of Franzia Fruity Red Sangria) cup of Brandy, a couple cups whole cherries, two thick sliced oranges, some cinnamon sticks, small handful of whole Allspice, small handful of cloves and some sliced apples if you want. On low at about the two hour mark, the house will begin to smell very happy. I think I've gotten way off topic. But warm Sangria warming in a crock pot, hours upon hours. Does fill the house with a magical aroma. MMMMmmmm. Drinkable? |

I once saw an article that stated that a study was done that showed that people who kayaked were far less likely to get heart disease. What was their conclusion? Kayaking itself prevents heart disease! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71200287 Good to know. I am moving my kayak from the garage to the floor of my living room so I can sit in it while I watch TV. That will give me a couple of extra hours of being in the Kayak a day!! Oatmeal has nothing on this for being "Heart Healthy"! Friends' wife set me up on a blind date recently with a woman she said was good looking. Went to pick her up and her house reeked of the smell of those scented candles. When I saw her I thought she was "land whale ugly", not good looking at all. Now I know the reason ... it obviously was those darn scented candles affecting my mind which made her look "land whale ugly"!! Obviously one must be careful with those candles!! |

beeches User ID: 69710263 United States 03/28/2016 06:48 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | We burn tons of gasoline into the air daily, and you want to talk about candles? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 916264 Petroleum-based synthetic smell candles will hurt you like poison. They're toxic. So are lead wicks. Palm and soy oil will express vapors into the air of phytoestrogens. Why do some depraved people like that smell? Because they have a hormone imbalance. The good side of candle burning is in humid areas, the flame will burn the floating fungus in the atmosphere to remove it, it is purifying against mold. The bad side, creosote on the walls, as much as a smoker, devaluing the paintings and clothing in the house. Fuck Woman's Day for that shit. They have 15 different synthetic toxic perfumes in their ads, makeup made of petroleum products, and probably pharmaceuticals that have side effects like stroke and death, but they attack candles? That magazine editor needs to get her head out of her ass. we sure do. want to talk about this. I doubt you are burning petroleum in your bedroom, or gasoline in the bathroom. indoor air pollution is a whole nother animal. much more damaging in the long run. Woman's Day and The Daily Mail have published results from multiple studies that link scented candles to major health risks — as serious as lung damage and birth defects. -- [link to www.popsugar.com] Essential oils are a great substitute for scented candles. Get a small round plate warmer, a porcelain type dish that will fit it, and some coarse salt. Himalayan salt is particularly good. Plug in the warmer with the dish atop it, cover the dish with the salt, and sprinkle two or three drops of any essential oil you like on the salt. Do not use fragrance oils because they contain the poisons that are in scented candles! Not only will your place smell great, but it helps to keep insects away, and they are healthy to breathe.
