a possibly fictional and yet totally really quite real story of a life.

maybe even mine. I have to edit it first to see.

it's roughly chronological but not really.

every good story has lessons in it and a satisfying if not happy ending..

and mine is a good one. not very organized yet, but all there.

Re: I've written a book, ask me a question
see the hard part isn't the writing, isn't what to write about..

it's all in the what to leave out to get to the meat of the story..or what not to season it with to not overwhelm what the story is..
and in all the searching for the way to find that novel.

somehow I ended up living one.

and the funny part is, while some the worse for wear, I am still here..somewhat..to tell the story.

yeah it's time to start printing ..to see it to run the pencil lines through and restructure some sentences..

and let the words if not flow and glide along seamelessly..

then at least find a way to craft with the sentence

what was inside me all along.

me.

Re: I've written a book, ask me a question
the leaves fall as seconds with each breath

right now the process is continuing in words I still write, but to me more important is the going over what has already been done at this point. To edit and not falter and to let the emotions take me without carrying me any further than the pen to the paper or the fingers flying on the keyboard..

and if the tears fall to let them fall and not distract me.

and let the tears be healing ones.

and I am not done yet.

so I don't know where to end the story. but I will know when done editing my words already written when it is time to send it out.

Re: I've written a book, ask me a question
The three schools in Antwerp that were at the centre of a bomb scare this morning have been given the all clear.

One paper reports on a mother at the school gate who get very upset that she was not able to enter the school during lockdown nor was her son allowed to leave.

This is every parent's nightmare. I can't help wondering why children would not be allowed to leave. If there is a possibility of a bomb it makes sense to evacuate asap not lock the place down. Isn't that completely counterintuitive?

there will be lots of rebellion against authority in my book. There will be fights, yelling, arguing, tears, and dramatic walk outs. There will be tantrums and hysterics and also outbursts of emotion.

and that's just the teen years..

and in a way, they never ended..because I come back to the events when I was a teen, and the parts that events played in the rest of my life.

maybe because I couldn't let them go..

I hadn't learned from them yet.

maybe because it's where my memories start..as a pre teen really.

everything before that?

well, that's the interesting part, I guess.

the part that would be perhaps not like most..

and if it's in somewhat chronological order, the ironic part is I found out about that "last" in a way..and it's something I am still doing.

in flashbacks, mostly.

Re: I've written a book, ask me a question
the hardest lesson I've ever learned is how to take is easy on myself. It's such a hard lesson it's one I am still not good at, and need constant and conscious practice at it.

Just taking it easy.

because life itself has been pretty fucking hard.

worth it so far. but hard.

should it start out like "it was a dark and stormy night"? Or should it simply start with the date, the earliest one I started writing down, the earliest ones I remember, or the images, or the smels, or the sounds?

or when I knew for sure that the memories were real and mine? but then when that would begin..

oh I know..I begin at the beginning.

with me.

just being here, a survivor, taking it easy on myself.

cus like that meme goes, I've seen some weird shit. and I'm putting the pieces together into something cohesive enough to be called something..

well that's where the hard work really lies. :)

but at least I've written it.

now I just need to sift through and winnow it all out. Into something cohesive..leaving the extamperaneous bits by the wayside...except there is one problem with that.

those bits make up who I am..the "besides the point" and meandering rambling getting to it but never there..

well that's who I am.

but there's a reason for it..

the reason is my life..and the reason is not an excuse, not a justification, not a retionalization.

but it is a REASON WHY I AM THE WAY I AM.

and of course it's fiction to some. Because it's MY reality.
