Go with your family name if it is easy. Dont ever do something dumb like bitme electronics.

Look at family names like Sears, Wards etc. If not, do a name that is easy to Remember like Statewide, or Standard TV etc.

Dont name a bank Joe's bank. Name it Federal Standard and Trust,,,Dont name a TV store, Federal Standard Electronics, ya know?

Use your name like Miller paint did.

Easy sales come from easy to remember names that are not dumb.

I had planned on naming mine Steed Electronics but it never materialized. The logo was either going to be a horse head with nostrils flared blowing steam or the profile oh a horse on it hind legs.

So far from the ones I've seen here I like, That's Entertainment and Techworld.

Another name I was going to call mine was Golden Strip PC. The Golden strip is the name of a tri city area where I am.

Something like "Future-Tronics" would describe your store as the place to get the latest and greatest stuff.....

I feel for ya! Looking for something that'll set you off that no one has thought of before is tough!

And don't use the "Zone" idea if you're in the midwest...Auto Zone has that covered up here near Chicago (are they national? Not even sure).

Family Circuits rocks! I'm in marketing...what the above poster said is right on. Can plug in ALL the family members. And as another poster mentioned, be the place they can come and chill to make a purchase instead of another stop on the treadmill. Put in a popcorn machine. Don't laugh, family owned chain of furniture stores I know made that their trademark.

And keep movies playing all the time on the blueray players... not the same thing programed through the whole store.
