I'm in basically the same business, but I concentrate on custom installations, rather than pushing boxes out the door. That's the niche I went after, and so far, I've been pretty successful. I can't always match the prices of the big box stores, but personal attention is something people are willing to pay more for.
Anyways, my company name is EAV. I change what the letters stand for depending on the situation.

don't overlook other sensitive areas that can make or break your business enterprise (the date you decide on the name, the relevance, importance, likeness, etc... of it to universal names and names of the cosmos etc... You would be surprised to learn how important the name can be to the success of the company.

Going from your first post, I'm assuming you're catering to families. Obviously, you won't have the edge over Best Buy on prices so you'll have to tap into the niche market. Get an image of your ideal customer and market to them specifically. They can get the plasma TV and computer anywhere, they'll choose your store because it represents how they feel.

What type of families are your main focus?

Double income and 4 kids? Urban professionals with a designer baby? Younger families just starting out?

Figure that out and if the name does not become evident you'll have narrowed the choices a great deal.

I guess my target market is families like mine - 2 kids, 2 jobs and not much free time. Always in a hurry.
