I know one guy from Iran and have a very good Iranian restaurant that I like to visit. The Iranians that I've met consider themselves Persians and not Arabs. They are very adamant about making this distinction. They actually do not seem to like Arabs.

It's because they ARE different. They are interbred with them how are they any different? The Persians I know make that distinction, how are English, Scottish and Welsh people different? the populations have been moving around thousands of years.. yet there is still a distinction where they consider themselves different and would be offended if you called any of them by one of the other labels..
