you must grab it, with tweezers, and TWIST as you pull, like a wine cork

Then clean area out REAL WELL

if you end up having a skin reaction, or a bulls eye looking mark

you got lyme and should see a doctor

if within a few weeks of the bite you start feeling bad in general ways commonly, go get checked for lyme

Is it the whole tick or just the head?

That happend to my dad. He had to go to the hospital because of it. They put dish soap on it there and it backed right out..

Use alcohol.

heat up a sewing needle with a lighter and poke it. I had a tick the other day too, Spring is here!

Do you have any tea tree oil?

A few drops of that on the tick will help to remove it.

Just taste it and you know who toxic soap is!

We really should not be using it. I've stopped smelling since I cut down hugely on the amount of soap I use (seriously!)

Tip: ticks breathe through their backside, the side sticking out of your skin because their head is buried in your skin and sucking your blood.

You have to be careful pulling a tick out because if it's head gets cut off and remains under your skin it can cause an infection.

So, the best thing is to cut off it's breathing and it comes right out of your skin. Take a match, light it and then blow it out and really quick hold it next to the ticks body, it should pull out then you grab it with tweezers.

Or you can use rubbing alcohol which plugs up it's breathing pores in it's epidermis and it will come out to breathe.

If your doctor doesn't put you on Antibiotics be sure and get tested for Lyme, you can nip that shit in the bud if you catch it in the first 30-60 days, after that it's a major pain in the ass...

Is it your dominant hand side? Id give dishsoap a chance to work today and if it dont call doc tomorrow.

You have to burn it out.

Cover it with new skin it will suffocate then fall out.

Alcohol works; although, tea tree oil or sandalwood oil works better.

Do not burn a tick if it is attached to your body. Not only can you burn yourself, you can also cause the tick to vomit, increasing your chance for an infection.

Okay, I tried with tweezers and toenail clippers, but it was in a bad spot to be able to get at, and couldn't get all of the mothefucker out. So it's irritated all around it now and I don't have rubbing alcohol thought I did but I don't so just put hydrogen peroxide on it, and triple antibiotic ointment on it.

I already had a doctor's appt for the followup for bronchitis/pneumonia I had to go to the ER and get meds for before that one even came which is tomorrow, so when I go to that tomorrow I will have them get it out for me.

It's just incredibly frustrating as fuck to know that it's in there in the meantime and can't get it out, but will beg to get another dose of antibiotics to keep taking for a while after this. It's the VA though, so I don't know what will happen, but at least they will get the tick out for me I hope.

Now I can't move around too much to bring my bp up and am trying to calm down but it's not working too well.

thanks for the advice. I thought about burning it off too late, but don't have a match, just a lighter, and would have to hunt around for a needle, and right now I'm too shaky to get near it anymore anway and it's already irritated, sot he best thing is to leave it alone for now I guess.
