Iran urges Arab countries to eject U.S. military

DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES — Iran's top national security official urged his Arab neighbours Tuesday to eject the U.S. military from American bases in the region and instead join Tehran in a regional security alliance.

Ali Larijani told Arab leaders attending a conference here that Washington is indifferent to their interests and will cast them aside as soon as they are no longer useful.

“The security and stability of the region needs to be attained and we should do it inside the region, not through bringing in foreign forces,” Mr. Larijani told an audience of business and political leaders from the Arab world and elsewhere, including the United States. “We should stand on our own feet.”

The speech was one of the most explicit expressions yet of rising Iranian assertiveness in its contest with the United States for influence in the region.

Many Sunni Arab countries, such as Saudi Arabia, have expressed misgivings about the growing influence of the Persian Shiite-dominated government in Tehran, which once sought to export its Islamic revolution and topple neighbouring governments.

Can't really argue against that.

Ahmadinejad is a voice to be heard. He is ushering in a new era. it would be good for USA and Britain to negotiate with Iran rather than to go to war. The bully situation can not last so a war with iran will not turn the clocks back. it will only creat more hatred towards the west. If USA wants an ally and a trading partner then it will really do them well to negotiate and recognise that regions rights. I fear that USA and Britain will not listen as you can not teach an old dog new tricks. Just take a look. What is happening to the dollar? and yet what is happening to the Euro? Remember that Britain is not part of Euro money. The Europians are listening to Iran and their relationship is growing. Iran is changing its oil exchange to Euro and Europe will become stronger. ME on one side, Eastern countries on another side and Europe (not including Britain) on another. These 3 will start a new world of trade and who will be left out but USA, Israel, UK and other english language speaking nations. Have you noticed how Germany has become very very quite towards Iran since Ahmadinejads letter to the German leader?

It just seems so simple that if you are peaceful and help others they will help you in return. I guess it is complex of a concept for the pedo-dumbfucks in the White House.
