It was an accepted practice for people to go on pilgrimage.

They went to Compostello in Spain.

People still do this walk across the top of Spain,well they were a while ago.

The pilgrims used to walk through various places and there were other places to see on the way.

I am unsure whether this is safe today if you are a girl .

We have a costal footpath that can be walked around with beautiful views which is safe. Mystical Cornwall .The cliffs going into the sea look like sleeping dragons and it is the birth place of King Arthur.

I expect there are other places which have walks too.
