Virginia City, Montana is getting hammered with very small quakes today. Close to Yellowstone, though I have no idea if it's geologically related.

These quakes are tiny (Mag. 2-3), and there's some history of small quakes in the area, but not at this rate. 6 so far today alone, while they've had 67 total in the last 12 months.

April 18, 2016 – A noteworthy earthquake swarm has broken out near Yellowstone Supervolcano, specifically near Virginia City Montana / Hebgen Lake.

Hebgen lake is the location of the largest earthquake to strike the Intermountain West in recorded history, with a M7.5 showing up in 1959.

The swarm is being caused by pressure coming from the West coast. No doubt the pressure is building off the coast, now pushing the craton edge to the East, causing a swarm at Yellowstone as a result of the pressure.
