I am an elected delegate.
I am a Precint Committeeman and also a elected delegate for a very large group of people in my county.

While everyone spends time watching t.v. I walked my area for over 4 months talking to everyone I that I can; about 500 people in 4 months. That's about 10%.

I sign people up to vote, make sure they have their copy, and turn the days batch into the voter registration department of the county.

All at my own expense; time, effort, shoes, gas to move around the county, etc. This is called getting out the vote.

I asked each one who they wanted to vote for and keep a total of each persons answer.

I take the highest total (a simple majority) and that person is who I vote for on THE VERY FIRST BALLOT. THIS IS THE VOTE OF THE PEOPLE. THEY ARE FULLY REPRESENTED.

If before the vote I run into someone at a store who expresses their choice I add it to the tally. If it cahnges the simple majority, I select that person.

This process goes on until 1 day before the vote. (I need time to pack and drive to get to the voting location; about a 4 hour drive for me.)

My experience is that most people in my county are very well educated, very smart, and very well informed as to the big issues.

On ballot day if a simple majority does not happen on the first ballot, then there is a pause for a while, as the delegates talk to each other to try to come to a unified position.

Sometimes the ballot cycle completes in 3 or 4 passes; other times it may take more.
When it is done, I go home to rest for a week or so.

And contrary to popular opinion, it is not rigged, it is not corrupt, it is not crooked.

It is the only way you can get the primary vote of over 300 million people into a convention center in order to select the nominnee.

And BTW, my personal choice is never considered, even on the multiple ballot cycles.

I represent the people of my district.

As I walk or drive about my county, some of the people sign my election sheet. When the number of signed people are above a minimun number you become an elected deligate.
ELECTED BY THE PEOPLE TO REPRESENT THEM AS A DELEGATE.

I hope this clears the air.

The way you are doing it, you are correct.

However, many delegates have publicly stated that they will vote for their personal choice no matter what the average voter totals are.

That is wrong, and this system is easily corrupted. Why do you think Lyin' Ted is courting the delegates in each state so intensely? He has lost the popular vote, and is now focused on stealing delegates. It does happen, and you will see it first hand at the conventions.

That is very wrong if that turns out to be true.

What was done in CO is egregiously wrong with 24 insiders deciding for millions of voters. Voterless votes! Horrendous. The whole thing was stacked by insiders.

The voters should be able to go to their polling place and vote and go home. Period.

Caucuses are also fraught will many opportunities for fraud to take place.
Yes, I did cure my Stage 4 cancer in two weeks when I was 48. I also reversed my chronic kidney disease (glomerulonephritis) when I was 25. In neither case were any medical treatments involved.

I couldn't agree with you more, and I too thank you for your fair and honest effort to represent the people.

Please come back and tell us of your experience during your state vote and the convention. I'm truly interested in what you will see.
